Collection: Warrior - Halle

Halle Glasser is a warrior with a heart of gold. She comes from a family of warriors. Her story, her journey, is a fight she learned from her father. And her entire family.

During her volleyball season, Halle developed a persistent cough that she and her family initially attributed to exercise-induced asthma. Despite experiencing bouts of illness from severe coughing, she chose to postpone seeing a doctor until after the season ended. However, upon visiting the doctor the following Monday, the were informed that further tests were needed after a scan revealed a cantaloupe-sized mass adjacent to her left lung. Subsequent scans unveiled multiple spots in her bones and throughout her body. In November 2021, Halle was diagnosed with stage 4 poorly differentiated large cell neuroendocrine thymic carcinoma, an unprecedented cancer rarely observed in females or individuals other than adult male smokers.

Her diagnosis is the first day in Halle's life that she missed school as she began her journey at the hospital. It took nearly three weeks for the doctors to comprehend the rarity and severity of her cancer. Despite missing out on school, sports, and her job as a lifeguard, she continued to forge ahead, drawing strength from her family's unwavering support. Halle's two older brothers, Hugh and Hank, along with her father Jon, instilled in her the indomitable spirit to push forward. After her mother Jean's passing years later, Jon reconnected with his high school friend Tina who later became a mother to Halle and her brothers. Jon and Tina also have a son together, Oliver.

Halle's remarkable personality shines through with her sweet, spicy charm, coupled with a quick wit and disarming demeanor. When asked how she faces this battle, she simply shrugs and says, "I'm just doing what I need to do." Even during moments when they were running late for her chemotherapy appointments, Halle would jokingly remark, "Hey, this party doesn't start without me."

As we write this, after two years of unyielding fighting, Halle's body is beginning to succumb to this long battle. She is comfortably at home resting peacefully, snuggling with her Winnie McNugget.

For her birthday on July 22 we are launching her candle early to be able to celebrate with an abundance of sprinkles. To honor this courageous warrior who has given her all.
